Silicon is a business service provider for medium to large scale companies. From humble beginnings in old Hyderabad to providing services to technology giants, Silicon has had a remarkable journey to the top. At Marks and Methods, we captured the true spirit of Silicon and expressed it to the world in a simple yet sophisticated manner creating an identity for the brand.
Despite being a well-known name in the tech industry, Silicon was facing tough competition from new entrants in the space . The brand's situation warranted a tectonic shift in the way it was perceived among its target audience. A lack of an authoritative identity resulted in the brand losing significant ground in addition to seeing a dip in its market share.
During our research phase, we found out that only a handful of tech companies survived the market successfully over a period of 35 years, and even so, none of them were based out of Hyderabad barring a few mergers and acquisitions. We interviewed key stakeholders and top management to understand the guiding principles laid by Silicon’s founder and vision of the new management. We renewed the company’s verbal identity and created a mark that reflected the philosophy of the brand.
From the outset, our direction was clear: to create an identity that’s not stereotypical. As dynamic as the technology industry is, it is imperative for the brand to stay relevant, infusing a fine blend of familiarity and novelty in its strategy. We combined the letters C and O to form an Infinity symbol that acted as an identifier and a visual device. We also went on to do environment branding for them as well with attractive graphics and devised a visual language that was unique to the brand.
